**CALLING ALL LOCAL BUSINESSES**

Want to put your name on some FUN while supporting foster families?

Crossroads’ City Park Night is less than 1 month away, and we’re inviting businesses, churches and community partners to sponsor a ride or attraction for the night!

Imagine seeing your organization’s name alongside the Carousel, Tilt-A-Whirl, Fun Slide, Lady Bug Coaster or another City Park favorite — all while helping Crossroads continue recruiting, equipping and supporting foster families in our community.

Sponsorship opportunities range from $2,000–$6,000 and include recognition at the event and on Crossroads’ social media, with additional promotional benefits available at higher sponsorship levels.

Several attractions have already been claimed, but there are still some great ones available!

Choose your attraction and become a City Park Night sponsor:

Connect Before You Correct

At Crossroads, we believe children thrive when the adults around them work together to create felt safety, connection, and regulation. As a new school year begins, we’re sharing practical TBRI®-informed tips that anyone working with children can use to help kids and families navigate the transition.

Big transitions can bring big feelings. When a child is overwhelmed, begin with a calm presence, reassurance, and connection. Help them regulate before addressing behavior or expectations.

Behavior communicates a need. Connection helps us understand that need.

PLAN FOR AFTER SCHOOL RECONNECTION

Children may come home tired, hungry, or overstimulated. Offer a warm welcome, water, a snack, and time to decompress before asking lots of questions or beginning homework.

Reconnect first. The conversation can come later.

When a child is struggling, pause and consider what their body may need. Hunger, thirst, exhaustion, sensory overload, or a need for movement can affect behavior.

Meeting physical needs can help children regulate and be ready to participate.

MAKE TIME FOR CONNECTION

Back-to-school preparation involves more than supplies and schedules. Set aside a few minutes each day for child-led play, conversation, or quiet time together.

Connection fills a child’s emotional tank for the changes ahead.
