🎓🌎 ISL Alumni Spotlight: Alex Coleman

We’re celebrating ISL alum Alex Coleman as he heads into his senior year at East St. John High School! Alex recently earned an impressive 31 on the ACT. 👏🏽📚

Throughout high school, Alex has continued to demonstrate the academic excellence, consistency, and determination that make us proud. He has earned Honor Roll or Dean’s List recognition every semester while also staying active in athletics.

Alex’s family shared that they attribute part of his academic success and tenacity to the foundation he received at the International School of Louisiana, beginning at our Bunche Campus and continuing through the Uptown Campus.

We are so proud to see our alumni flourishing and carrying the values they developed at ISL into their next chapters. Congratulations, Alex, and best wishes for an amazing senior year! 💙🌎

🚨School Closure Notice: All ISL buildings and offices will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026 for Labor Day. ISL Faculty and Staff will be unavailable during this time. Classes will resume, as scheduled, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. We will return calls and emails within 48 hours of our return.

While our ISL Westbank 2nd and 3rd grade families were in the classrooms learning 📚 our ISL Westbank K-2nd grade students were on the field learning ⚽️.

The Back To School Morning Meetings give families the opportunity to ask questions, recieve important classroom information, and strengthen the home/school partnership that helps our students thrive. We love having our families active on the campus and in the classroom!

Soccer Shots is an aftercare program we have at ISL-WB and ISL St. Roch for students in K-2nd grade. Today was a free try out day for all those students 💙⚽️. Our Kindergarten and 1st Grade families stepped into the classroom this week for our Back to School Morning Meetings at ISL St. Roch! Families had the opportunity to experience a little bit of their child’s school day, connect with teachers, explore the classroom, and see learning in action. 🎒✨

We loved welcoming our families back into the classroom and sharing these special mornings together. Thank you for being such an important part of our ISL community! 🌎💙

Morning Meetings are underway at ISL Westbank! 🍎📚

Today, we welcomed our Kindergarten and 1st grade families into the classroom for the first of our Morning Meetings. For one hour, families had the opportunity to observe learning in action, seeing what their students are learning, how they're learning, and experiencing the engaging classroom environment that makes ISL so special.

After classroom observations, parents and caregivers met with teachers while students headed to their enrichment classes. This dedicated time gave families the opportunity to ask questions, receive important classroom information, and strengthen the home/school partnership that helps our students thrive.

Thank you to all of our families for joining us and being such an important part of the ISL community. 💙💛
