Episode 3 of Confessions of a Carousel Queen 👑😂

Baby… every time you finally learn Instagram, Instagram learns something NEW. 😭

You done figured out Reels. Carousels. Trial Reels. Keywords. Broadcast channels. SEO. Posting times. Watch time. Shares. Saves.

Then IG walks in Monday morning like:

“Hey Bestieeee! We added something.” 🙄

MA’AM. I JUST GOT HERE. 😂

And don’t even start throwing 27 hashtags under the post hoping somebody discovers you. Adam Mosseri has repeatedly said hashtags don’t meaningfully increase reach anymore—they can help with search and context, but they are not the visibility hack creators once treated them like.

So now we gotta make good content, write searchable captions, keep people watching, get them to share it AND apparently check Instagram every morning to see what new homework they assigned us overnight. 😭😂

Creators and business owners deserve continuing education credits at this point.

Before I started teaching entrepreneurs how to build businesses, I was building skincare brands of my own. And baby, I KEPT THE RECEIPTS! 👀🔥

I’m talking product formulations, manufacturers, sourcing ingredients, creating products from scratch, designing labels, packaging, pricing, marketing, and opening an actual storefront!

I started with Hempire Universe, a h**p-infused skincare brand. But when I realized potential customers were hesitant about h**p products, I didn’t abandon the business. I adjusted my strategy and created Maple & Co., a second skincare brand that served a different market.

Two brands. Two different audiences. One entrepreneur who understood the assignment.

Business Bestie, having a reliable vendor is great. Building your entire business around ONE vendor without a backup plan? That’s a risk you can’t afford to ignore.

From manufacturers overseas to local product suppliers, vendor disruptions can affect your inventory, cash flow, customer orders, and business reputation.

And here’s the thing: Your customers don’t care whose shipment is delayed. They’re expecting YOU to deliver. 💯
