Thank you to all of our patrons, friends, & family who have loved and supported the Little Gem Saloon, to our caring & dedicated staff, and to all of the abundantly talented musicians who have graced our stages over the years. It has been an experience we will always treasure. We look forward to witnessing the continued transformation and success of the Rampart St. historic jazz corridor with GBX at the helm. Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers are a beloved institution – a must-see for every New Orleans visitor and a favorite of local critics and music lovers. As he’d helped spur the formation of new brass bands in his 20s, he’s since influenced the city’s musical direction in the 21st century. Dozens of young musicians and bands are essentially playing the same music Ruffins pioneered with his solo act. They sing into retro microphones, dress in dandy suits and perform the timeless tunes that defined a decades-past era.

**Reservations strongly recommended! Ticket purchase does not include table reservation. Table reservations can be made online or by calling the venue.

Like many of our fellow NOLA businesses, we had some flooding yesterday but have cleaned up and plan to be open, weather permitting, for dinner and the following shows:

Friday 7/12 - Los Classics @ 7:30. Jazz Show with $10 cover
Saturday Kermit Ruffins show is CANCELED
Sunday 7/13 - Blues Brunch with Little Freddie King 11:30am -2:30pm
Sunday Evening 4pm open for drinks and dinner for Rolling Stones Show. Walk-in only - reservations not accepted.

James McClaskey and his Rhythm Band

The Rhythm Band is a dedicated to playing the jazz-inspired blues music of the 1930s, '40s and '50s. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of classic blues and jazz musicians and with a large repertoire of songs, ranging from turn of the century popular music and early jazz to electric rhythm blues and swing, the Rhythm Band delivers hard swinging, classic dance music. James McClaskey leads the group on vocals, electric guitar and alto saxophone, Adrien Seward plays tenor saxophone; we are joined by a rhythm trio of piano, bass and drums.
