This Saturday we had our first Creative Retreat. People collaged, worked on rebranding, drawing challenges, made books, and worked on tasks. People expressed gratitude for having a dedicated time and place to be in a community dedicated to practice.

Register or just show up. Saturdays in October 10AM-1250PM in the Art Gallery on the 2nd floor.

This week we publicly give gratitude to our Village Book Nooks with a special thanks to our newest nook, Hagar's House.

"Hagar’s House is a sanctuary for women, children, trans and gender-nonconforming folks that provides an open and empowering residential community, resource coordination, and a safe space to transition into sustainable housing"

The REACH Center partners with businesses and organizations across the city to bring free books for keeps to the community. Thank you Hagar's House NOLA for saying yes and for the work you do.

Here's a list of our Village Book Nooks:
Low-Barrier Shelter: 1530 Gravier St
Back-A-Town Coffee Shop: 301 Basin St
I-tal Garden: 810 N. Claiborne Ave
Glorias Grocery: 1800 Conti St
Odyssey House: 2700 S Broad St

We are looking to expand this service, if you have an place in mind, let us know.

This Saturday, August 16th, we have The Black School's Collective Power Workshop from 10am-12pm. Registration and event details can be found on the event page.

September 6th marks the beginning of our Fall Wellness Events.
September 6th from 10-3pm we are hosting a Back-To-School Refresh with Delgado.

Delgado will be offering free haircuts and manicures to youth 18 and under. Register by emailing us at [email protected], tell us which service you want for your youth, and we will slot you.

September 13th we start line dancing with ANEW Fitness.

We look forward to spending time with you this Fall at The REACH.
