For too long, New Orleans has lived under a financial apartheid. Public goods: water, energy, healthcare, housing, even our schools have been stripped from the people and handed over to private interests. This privatization has widened the gap between rich and poor, creating systems where access depends on wealth instead of dignity. Our neighborhoods know the cost: broken infrastructure, unaffordable utilities, and cultural landmarks left to rot while corporate profits soar.

But the history of this city doesn't belong to boardrooms. The history belongs to the people.

The streets, the music, the food, the art, the spirit of resistance, the hustle, the legacy of ancestors, celebrations... these are ours. Revitalizing our cultural sites like Charity Hospital, the Municipal Auditorium, Lower 9th Ward, Armstrong Park, Lincoln Beach, and our neighborhood schools is not just preservation-it's power. These places must stand again as living pillars, anchors for the next generation, and symbols that this city's legacy will not be sold off, but rebuilt by and for the people.

The fact that my campaign was actively blocked/blacklisted—more than any other campaign—was a major disservice to the people of New Orleans who are looking for radical change in a recycled & stagnant political system. Mental Health is crucial to our community and it is a rallying cry that will unite this city. Everyone from New Orleans East to Algiers wants more Mental Health investment, especially in regards to trauma informed care, access to care, and clinical mental health supports in our schools.

Mental health initiatives can revitalize our commercial property stock into a pathway to end our growing crime problem, unhoused crisis and to create programs to prevent the people from becoming unhoused. Empowering our community and putting them first in relation to infrastructure jobs and offering scholarship opportunities will help to boost the morale of our people. When we apply mental health principles in city hall we will have the changes that our community has been crying out for.

This can be accomplished, but-New Orleans-we must not become distracted from emotionally charged subterfuge that threatens our next 4 years. Stay focused in this election season. Choose the candidate that will work to unite; not divide.

If an executive order deployed the National Guard into New Orleans without our consent, I would stano firmly with the people of this city.

We remember Katrina: when troops arrived with weapons raised at our own citizens, and it took General Russel Honoré to order them to lower their guns and not give in to fear. New Orleans does not need an occupation. Crime in our city is falling because of the hard work of neighbors, community leaders, troop NOLA, and officers building trust through community policing strategies.

Crime has not fallen because of intimidation. As mayor, I would oppose any unauthorized deployment, demand immediate withdrawal, and call on federal leadership to respect local sovereignty. We cannot heal trauma with tanks on our streets.

Entergy New Orleans has failed us for too long: high bills, fragile infrastructure, and zero accountability. It's time to bring our power back home by converting Entergy New Orleans back to NOPSI and then carving it out to become a true public utility owned by the people of this city. When profits flow to Wall Street, our neighborhoods suffer with blackouts, boil water advisories, and storms that knock us off the grid. But when dividends flow back to our community, we can reinvest in microgrids, battery banks, hydropower, and resilient infrastructure that makes our energy nearly free over time.

NOPSI worked for us before, and it can again; not as a corporate monopoly, but as a community asset. Power belongs to the people, not shareholders. The future of New Orleans depends on us reclaiming control of our energy and building a grid that's clean, affordable, and designed to serve us.
