Celebration of Service

Lt. Col. Steven Balmer, deputy chaplain for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, was honored during a retirement ceremony recognizing a distinguished 38-year military career. Prior to the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Jake Kwon presented Balmer with the Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his decades of dedicated leadership, spiritual guidance, and steadfast support to Soldiers and families across the command.

Officer Rising

A promotion ceremony was held for Lt. Col. Warren Sanders, deputy assistant chief of staff, Support Operations, 377th Theater Sustainment Command, who was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel, Sept. 12. Sanders’ parents Dr. Isaac and Cora Sanders were present and had the opportunity to pin on his new rank. Maj. Gen. Jake Kwon, commanding general, 377th TSC, performed the oath of office and offered Sanders leadership guidance upon assuming his new rank. Congratulations to Lt. Col. Sanders on his well-deserved promotion as he takes on this new challenge in his career.

Inside Maritime Ops

Soldiers with the 377th Theater Sustainment Command Support Operations (SPO) section visited the Port of New Orleans for a familiarization tour aboard the MV Cape Knox. During the visit, SPO personnel walked the vessel's extensive cargo decks and reviewed key loading and offloading procedures. The site visit served to strengthen the section's tactical understanding of maritime logistics and port operations to maintain combat readiness at all times.

Honoring the fallen, 377th pays tribute to 9/11

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the 377th TSC held a remembrance run honoring the thousands who lost their lives during the events of that fateful day. Joining the 377th during the run were Navy Police and Navy Region Southeast Fire and Emergency Services, who provided an es**rt, complete with water cannon to refresh the runners. A solemn moment of prayer was held, allowing a moment of reflection to what transpired on this day, 25 years ago. We will never forget.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the 377th Theater Sustainment Command honors the thousands of innocent lives lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania aboard Flight 93. We also remember the incredible courage of the first responders and service members who answered the call that day and the generation of patriots who stepped forward in the years that followed. Time will never dim the memory of that sacrifice, nor will it shake the resolve of our nation.
