🚨 PSA for all my fellow federal civilians getting ready to !
Heads up! If you have a Login.gov account that doesn't automatically unlock the Online Retirement Application (ORA) portal. Think of it like having a key to the city , not necessarily your specific house . 🔑🏠
If you're within 6 MONTHS of retirement, you 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 follow these steps 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧:
👉Go to the ABC-C website (link in bio! ) & click the "GRB" Icon (need CAC to access)
👉Download & complete the "ORA Account Request Form" from the Resource Library.
👉Submit an "Online Retirement Application Request" via the "Requests" Icon on the ABC-C website, making sure to upload the ORA Account Request Form.
Basically, think of it this way: it's not a one-click process. It's a "wait, verify, THEN click" process! 🕰️
After that, a HR specialist will review and get back to you! THEN, your HR Specialist will create your account using your personal email address. You will receive an email that your account is created. This is a good opportunity to log in or troubleshoot any login issues. You will need a Login.gov account associated with your personal email. You'll then receive an email from [email protected].
Please Note:
Disability retirement & those with combined FERS/CSRS time? This process doesn't apply to you YET! Stick to the existing methods for now.
