A Mustang is a hardy range horse known for its wild, untamable nature. Mustangs are a mythic symbol of freedom, heroism, romance, limitless possibilities, and possess an indestructible and everlasting spirit. Some mustangs that are tamed develop deep and trusting bonds with people. In the U.S. Armed Forces, a "Mustang" is a commission officer who previously served as an enlisted service member. Th

e title "Mustang" is noteworthy as the good ones garner proven reputations as "force multipliers" and "go to" officers with a coolheaded and disciplined "stick-to-it," "can do" attitude.
