There can be no Black liberation without the abolition of capitalism!

250 years after its founding, the U.S. still asks us to celebrate “freedom” in a country where slavery was never fully abolished, only rewritten into the prison system.

Here in Louisiana, that history is not distant. Angola prison sits on the grounds of a former slave plantation while Cancer Alley proves how that plantation country still shapes life and labor in the region today.

Join The Descendants Project and Louisiana PSL for 2 Americas at 250, a July Liberation Forum on today’s plantation country in Louisiana.

Join the Descendants Project and Louisiana PSL for a forum on 250 years of Plantation Country - from slavery to Cancer Alley. This July, the right wing is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, but there has never been freedom or democracy for the working class!

We will discuss how racism and industry exploitation are inextricable from the capitalist system, and our fight to end environmental racism today.

There is no q***r liberation under apartheid! 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸

This Pride Month, Louisiana PSL is joining the global No Pride in Genocide festival with a selection of short films curated by ***rcinema4palestine The program shows how culture can confront imperial violence and strengthen the international movement for liberation.

As Israel’s genocide in Gaza continues with U.S. backing, we reject every attempt to pinkwash occupation. Q***r liberation cannot be separated from Palestinian liberation!

Workers make the world run, workers should run the world!

Yesterday, the Baton Rouge community came together to discuss the form and function of a socialist government in the United States, a government which would meet the needs of all working class people, not just a handful of billionaires.

We must develop a new system that integrates and empowers all of us into the management of society to do away with the climate crisis, imperialist wars, and fascism. Join us for part three of our book study on Socialist Reconstruction: A Better Future for the United States on Thursday, July 2nd at 6pm!

On Sunday, Baton Rouge came together in front of the governor’s mansion to demand an END to racial injustice in Louisiana.

Our demands are clear: End the partisan and racial gerrymandering that disenfranchises our Black and brown communities, end the statewide and federal law enforcement of ICE and DHS, and expand the power of democracy to EVERY citizen. ALL MEANS ALL!

This weekend, we took Pride back to its radical roots 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

We were out at New Orleans Pride yesterday talking with our community about the history of q***r liberation, the struggles facing LGBTQ+ people today, and why the fight for q***r liberation is inseparable from the fight for socialism. Thanks to everyone who took the time to grab a zine and join the conversation!

If you want to continue in the struggle, join us at the New Orleans Liberation Center on Saturday, June 27 at 8pm for a No Pride in Genocide film screening 🇵🇸🏳️‍🌈

THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM ISN’T OVER

This Juneteenth, join Louisiana PSL for a discussion on the long struggle for Black liberation in Louisiana from maroon resistance and the 1811 German Coast Uprising to today’s fight against mass incarceration, exploitation, and systemic racism. Together, we’ll examine how these histories of resistance continue to shape the struggle for freedom today and what collective action can achieve in the fight for real emancipation!

NO PRIDE IN GENOCIDE 🎬🏳️‍🌈🇵🇸

This Pride Month, join Louisiana PSL and our community partners for an evening of short films curated by Q***r Cinema for Palestine as part of the global No Pride in Genocide film event.

As corporations and politicians attempt to turn Pride into a marketing campaign, this program returns to the radical roots of q***r liberation, grounded in solidarity with oppressed people everywhere. Through film, we’ll explore the connections between the struggle for LGBTQ liberation and the fight against colonialism, occupation, and genocide.
