WOW! What an amazing workday this past Saturday... with more than 70 volunteers serving together, we completed approximately 300+ hours of work in just one half day. From moving every K–8 classroom — everything! — to outdoor cleanup, weeding, dead tree removal, debris cleanup, lighting installation near the gym entrance, toilet replacements, new preschool shelving assembly, desk and chair cleaning, attic storage flooring, wall prep for painting, and even removing the preschool house fence so it can be relocated to the new area, so much was accomplished.
A special thank you to our Parish Service Team for providing lunch and desserts, and to Mattingly Construction and Halstead Architects for bringing their leadership and staff to serve alongside us. Their partnership in this new building project has been a blessing to our church and school!
We are so thankful for every person who gave their time, energy, tools, and heart to help prepare our campus for what God is doing next.
We will be having one more big summer workday that is scheduled for July 25th currently. We will announce more information as we get closer to that date. What a blessing to see our Zion family come together in service!
