The Honors Program offers an accelerated, interdisciplinary approach to education by providing students with the opportunity to meet and work with other like-minded students on class-related projects and/or extracurricular, creative endeavors. Why Honors?

What are the Requirements?
- There are three basic elements to the honors program:
1. These seminars all fulfill GE requirements, and - with the exception of The Individual and Society - are all upper-division. Each seminar has an enrollment cap of fifteen students and operates by way of problem posing dialogue, rather than teacher-to-student dictation.
2. Community Service
All Honors Students must complete at least forty hours of community service before graduating (though we hope you would do more!). This service can be done on-campus, at home over the summer, or even in the Honors Center.
3. Senior Thesis
Before graduating, all Honors Students must complete a senior thesis project. The specific type of the project can vary depending on your own major or focus. This allows for creativity and is nearly always a resume builder. Am I Eligible?
-GPA of 3.5 or higher/ High School Average of 95
-SAT score: 1340 (EBRW and math)
- ACT composite score: 28 or higher
- Cover Letter
-Two substantial analytic writing samples. One needs to be research based with a works cited page.
-Two letters of recommendation
