Road Work-
The Village of New Paltz will be milling Tricor Avenue, Mohonk Avenue and Millrock Road on Tuesday, August 4,2026 and Wednesday, August 5,2026. On Thursday, August 6,2026 we plan to pave these same streets. We appreciate your patience during this time.

STAY COOL, NEW PALTZ! Family of New Paltz’s Walk-In Center will be open late on Tuesday June 30 and Wednesday July 1 to help our community stay safe during the heat wave. Additionally, the places and programs we typically enjoy in New Paltz can offer residents temporary relief from the heat.

Notice: Road Paving Schedule: June 22–26 (Weather Permitting)

The Village’s paving contractor is scheduled to perform the following roadway work next week. Please note that all work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of heavy rain.

Monday, June 22
Milling: Harrington Street, Wurts Avenue, North Front Street

Tuesday, June 23
Church Street: Milling, full-depth pavement removal on the west side, and subbase installation

Wednesday, June 24
Church Street: Fine grading of the subbase and installation of binder asphalt

Thursday, June 25
Church Street and North Front Street: Installation of top course asphalt

Friday, June 26
Wurts Avenue and Harrington Street: Installation of top course asphalt

Please expect temporary traffic delays and parking restrictions in work areas. Thank you for your patience as these improvements are completed.

On Tuesday, June 2,2026 Woodland Pond will be flow testing the fire hydrants within their community. This may cause a discoloration of the water for Village users.

The Village of New Paltz would like to alert residents to upcoming milling and paving work on North Chestnut Street and the Main Street intersection.

Tuesday, 5/12: Milling on North Chestnut from Sunset Ridge Road moving south with single-lane traffic control.
Wednesday, 5/13: Milling at the Main Street intersection with North & South Chestnut. Detour plan in effect.
Thursday, 5/14: Paving at the Main Street intersection with the same detour plan in effect.
Friday, 5/15: Paving on North Chestnut from Stewart’s Gas Station to Sunset Ridge Road with single-lane traffic control.

Please expect delays, follow posted signage, and use caution in work zones.
