This week, we are proud to recognize two wonderful members of our volunteer and intern team: Thomas and Grace.

Thomas has generously given 187 volunteer hours from May 2025 through April 2026. He has been volunteering with our office since 2014, after retiring from the Hillsborough Clerk’s Office in 2012 following an incredible 38 years of service. Thomas has become an integral part of our team, and we are grateful for the experience, dedication, and positive energy he brings each day. He enjoys staying engaged and busy, and we are lucky he chooses to spend his time with us.

We are also excited to recognize Grace, who began as a summer intern in May 2026. Grace is a Criminology major at Florida State University and plans to pursue a law degree after completing her undergraduate studies. She comes from a family with a strong legal background, as her parents and grandfather are attorneys. Her mother also previously served as an Assistant State Attorney for Pinellas County. Grace has already completed 25 internship hours in May and is doing an outstanding job, and we are excited to have her with us this summer.

Congratulations to our newest deputy clerks! This afternoon, Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller Nikki Alvarez-Sowles deputized our newest clerks Allecia, Brittany and Nathan in our Office in New Port Richey. Prior to deputation, each teammate must first demonstrate the qualities of compassion, reliability, and intelligence.

Another wonderful visit from Corporal Keys and his partner, K-9 Penelope!

Thank you to the Pasco Sheriff's Office for making these visits possible. Penelope is one of four therapy dogs with the Sheriff’s Office, and as you can see from the photos, the team’s visits to our offices truly brighten everyone’s day. Today they made stops in our New Port Richey offices.

We’re grateful for the smiles, comfort, and positive energy they bring each time they stop by!

Leadership Pasco government day, where participants learned more about federal, state, and local government. They learned about how it works and how elected officials work together to achieve common goals. The class also sat through a first appearance hearing, learning more about how the judicial system functions.
