🚑 Fall Cleaning Day! 🧹

This past week, our crew decided the station needed a little fall reset! Between cleaning, organizing, throwing away things we’re pretty sure have been here since the beginning of time, and a little bit of chaos, we got it done. 😂

Nothing like some good old-fashioned crew bonding over a trash bag and cleaning supplies. 🧹😂

A beautiful, chilly night here in West Penn Township. 🌙🍂🚑

The cooler weather is officially settling in, but the views sure make up for it. Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the fall nights! 🤍

Penn Mahoning Ambulance Association extends our deepest sympathy to the family of Thomas Zimmerman Jr. Tom was not only one of our founding members, but also our first treasurer and an EMT — a man whose dedication and service helped shape the foundation of our organization.

His commitment to our mission and our community will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, brother. We got this.

Today, we sit in an ambulance wearing a uniform, answering calls, and serving our community — something 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and 8 EMTs/paramedics went to work intending to do on September 11, 2001.

They didn’t know it would be their last shift.

25 years later, we remember the first responders who ran toward the unimaginable while everyone else was trying to get out. We remember the dispatchers who stayed on the line, the crews who never came home, and every innocent life lost that morning.

For those of us fortunate enough to wear a uniform today, may we never take for granted the privilege of coming home after the call.

We remember the courage.
We remember the sacrifice.
We remember where we were.
And most importantly, we will never forget. 🇺🇸

🚑💧TO OUR MYSTERY WATER DONOR… THANK YOU!💧🚑

To whoever generously dropped off this water at our station — THANK YOU!

After Sunday’s fire, our water supply went from “we should be okay” to “well… that disappeared quickly.”

Between providing fire rehab, keeping crews hydrated on scene, and our everyday EMS calls, we go through more bottled water than you might think.

Needless to say, seeing this donation show up was a VERY welcome surprise! 💧

To our mystery hydration hero, thank you for thinking of us and helping restock our supply. Donations like this allow us to keep water on our ambulances and have plenty available for our crews and fellow first responders when it’s needed most.

We truly appreciate the continued support our community shows us. 💙🚑🚒

🚨 Public Service Announcement 🚨

Contrary to popular belief, EMTs, EMSVOs, and firefighters cannot survive on caffeine alone. ☕❌💧

With the summer heat, fire rehab, search and rescue operations, and everyday EMS calls, we've been going through bottled water like it's going out of style.

If you're headed to the store and feel like adopting a very thirsty ambulance crew (and our fire friends), we'd happily accept a case of bottled water.

Not making a trip to the store? No worries! We also have an Amazon Wishlist with bottled water and other supplies that help keep our crews response-ready. (We'll drop the link in the comments!)

We promise it'll all be put to good use—and probably disappear before the next shift ends. 😂🚑🚒

As always, thank you for supporting your local first responders! ❤️

🚑 Introducing: Behind the Sirens Saturday!🚑

When you call 911, you see the ambulance arrive—but you don't always get to know the people behind the uniform.

We're excited to launch our new Behind the Sirens series, where we'll introduce you to the dedicated members of Penn Mahoning Ambulance Association. You'll get to learn what inspired them to join EMS and a few fun facts along the way.

We're kicking things off with Stacy! Take a minute to get to know one of the faces behind the sirens, and stay tuned as we continue introducing the incredible people who proudly serve our community.

Have family members who want to help during an emergency but aren't sure what to do?

Give them a task.

✔️ Gather your current medication list
✔️ Find your ID and insurance card (if available)
✔️ Write down any allergies or medical conditions
✔️ Secure pets and unlock the door if needed

These simple tasks help us get the information we need while allowing our crew to focus on providing patient care. Every little bit helps when time matters.

Thank you for helping us help you. 🚑❤️
