🌟 REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE 2026 POINTE COUPEE YOUNG LEADERS PROGRAM! 🌟

The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2026 Pointe Coupee Young Leaders Program!

The Pointe Coupee Young Leaders Program gives local high school students an opportunity to learn about leadership, local government, agriculture, business, financial literacy, education, healthcare, and career opportunities right here in Pointe Coupee Parish.

Throughout the program, students will meet and learn from community leaders, visit local businesses and organizations, participate in team-building activities, and gain a better understanding of the many people and industries that help make our parish a great place to live, work, and build a future.

🌟 Students will have the opportunity to hear from and visit with leaders and organizations including:

⭐ Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux – Leadership, public service, and law enforcement

⭐ Parish President Major Thibaut – Pointe Coupee Parish Government and community leadership

⭐ Mayor Theron Smith – Leadership and city government

⭐ Mark Carriere, LSU Ag Extension – Agriculture, the agricultural industry, and career opportunities

⭐ PC Electric – Site visit and an inside look at our local electric cooperative

⭐ Lori Rockforte, Synergy Bank – Financial literacy and preparing for a strong financial future

⭐ Local Education Professionals – Professional and career opportunities in education

⭐ The Pangburn Group – Site visit and exposure to local business and professional opportunities

⭐ Pointe Coupee General Hospital – Hospital tour and an introduction to healthcare and medical career opportunities

Students will also participate in team-building exercises, networking, leadership development activities, and opportunities to learn more about themselves and their community.

The future of Pointe Coupee Parish depends on developing, encouraging, and investing in our next generation of leaders. Through this program, we hope to show our young people the incredible opportunities available right here at home while connecting them with the leaders, businesses, and organizations helping move Pointe Coupee Parish forward. 💚

📢 IMPORTANT SBA DISASTER ASSISTANCE INFORMATION

The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is sharing the following information provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for the benefit of our local businesses, organizations, and community members.

Small businesses, private nonprofit organizations, and residents in Pointe Coupee Parish who were impacted by Tropical Storm Arthur may now apply for SBA disaster assistance.

Federal disaster assistance may be available to help eligible applicants recover from storm-related impacts.
