Need a unique idea for Valentine’s Day?

Book a Musicgram with Songcatchers! For a suggested donation of $14, Songcatchers will email your valentine a personalized note along with a video of the Youth Choir singing one of four popular love/friendship songs: "Can’t Help Falling in Love" by Elvis, "Count On Me" by Bruno Mars, "All Of Me" by John Legend, or "L-O-V-E" as sung by Nat King Cole.

The children are ready to help you share the love! Musicgrams can be purchased with a credit card on the Songcatchers website, or by calling the Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM to arrange an alternate payment.

The donation benefits the many programs of Songcatchers. These programs include the After-School Music Program (ASMP), which provides instrument lessons to children ages 7-13; an Early Childhood Music Program for children ages 1.5-7; and a Choral Arts Program, which includes intergenerational Youth and Concert Choirs and a residential Choir Camp for children ages 7-17.

Reserve your Musicgram now through February 13th! Songcatchers will accommodate latecomers on February 14th, but the suggested donation increases to $20. Musicgrams will be delivered on Valentine’s Day. What better way to share the love with your valentine than by sending a musical greeting to your loved one and giving the gift of music to a child for a lifetime?

During Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month, we’re proud to recognize the people who make our work possible. Shirley Rodriguez, director of supplemental programs and site director at Central Elementary School in Larchmont, is committed to supporting our members’ social, emotional and academic development through innovative programming. Carl Acevedo, site director at the Murray Avenue School in New Rochelle, works daily to assist our youth in reaching their full potential, whether working on a particular activity or working toward a lifelong goal. Thank you for all you do to help build great futures for tomorrow’s leaders!

Take a special tour of our two exhibitions “The World of Frida” and “Frida Kahlo in Context” and make your own flower crown this Sunday, May 1!

Celebrate the color and culture of Frida’s flowers this Sunday a special gallery tour at 1pm led by Timothy Tilghman, horticulturist and Head Gardener of Untermyer Gardens Conservancy and Laura Vookles, HRM Chair, Curatorial Department. Together, they discuss the science and symbolism of the flowers and foliage in the works on view, including the lush tropical vegetation in ’s “La ofrenda,” photographs of Frida, and works in “The World of Frida” that pay homage to the Kahlo’s floral iconography.

From 2-4pm, join a hands-on workshop and create your own iconic flower crown from fresh flowers. Presented in English and Spanish.
