Our 5th grade BETAs had such a fun afternoon painting the sidewalks at school! This was a grant Mrs. Scalo and Mrs. Luper worked on together! The grant is from FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools and is funding academic sidewalk art! We are working on an Alphabet Caterpillar as well as 2D shapes! We also want to work on a 100s chart and multiplication chart! Not only will it make our school more beautiful but expose our sweet kids to fun and engaging learning outdoors! The caterpillar is right in front of the sensory garden our BETAs planted a few weeks ago!

We had the best time at the National Beta Florida State Convention! Our students had an amazing time meeting BETAs from around Florida! They loved trading pins and getting to know everyone! We brought home 18 amazing wins! 12 students place in individual competitions and one of those students placed in two! We also brought home 5 club wins! We are now eligible to compete in 18 National competitions in Nashville this summer! Congratulations to the best BETAs around!
