The MHA Emergency Operations Center is providing a Family and Community Emergency Preparedness Training upcoming Monday and Tuesday, January 27 & 28.
With the winter weather, this training is a great opportunity to help you and your family stay prepared.

The training is available both in-person and virtually, so you can choose the option that works best for you.

Date and Time: January 27 & 28, 1:30pm-3:30pm
Location: New MHA EOC Conference Room, 8880 Hwy 23B, New Town, ND.
Instructor: Emily Sitting Bear, Director of the MHA Emergency Operations Center

🔵Course Objectives:
1. Identify Hazards - Learn about potential threats that could impact our community.
2. Disaster Response - Understand what actions to take before, during, and after a natural disaster.
3. Community Resilience - Discover the importance of neighborhood and community planning to enhance resiliency.

🔵This training is open to adults and youths age 12 and older.

9/4/24 11:50pm Update: We now have a few boxes of greeting cards left. Everything else is gone! We will be done with distribution in 10 minutes! Thank you everyone for coming and sharing the flyer!

We cordially invite you to the grand opening of the MHA Nation Emergency Operations Center and Fire Management Facility, a landmark project dedicated to enhancing the safety and well-being of our community. Your presence would be greatly appreciated as we celebrate this significant milestone in our community's history!

This state-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center along with its trained staff on duty 24/7 is the first of its kind in Indian Country.

The Emergency Operations Center and Fire Management Facility was built to honor and protect the homelands of the Three Affiliated Tribes, ensuring a more resilient future for all.

The ceremonies (we will be celebrating not one but two grand openings on this day!) will feature presentations from key project members and community leaders, visiting dignitaries, ribbon-cutting ceremonies, catered lunch, and guided tours of the facility. This is a great opportunity to see firsthand how the MHA Emergency Operations Center will serve our community and Great Plains Region, and have discussions on the positive impact this facility and it’s dedicated department protecting our tribal critical infrastructure have had and will continue to have with the individuals who brought this vision to life.

Good Afternoon!
We have 1 case (288 count) of Flow Flex home tests kits available at the Emergency Operations Center 603 1st N New Town. They expire at the end of this month.
We also 17 bags left that include the Lysol spray, Lysol wipes, 4 tests, and hand sanitizer. We will be here until 4:30 if anyone would like to come get any!
