This evening for training NTVFD utilized a SCBA confidence course training trailer.
Members were able put air packs on and we could simulated smoke and member had a course they had to traverse.
Thank you goes out to Indiana Fire and Public Safety Academy for bringing this trailer to our station and Indiana Homeland Security.

US 52 / Harrison Brookville road continues to be closed in both directions for investigation and clean up.
NTVFD extends our prayers and condolences to the families affected by this accident.

The Indiana State Police is investigating a two vehicle head on fatal crash that occurred overnight on US 52 (Harrison-Brookville Road) near SR 46 in northern Dearborn County.

Two occupants of a passenger vehicle died in the collision. Two other occupants were transported to area hospitals with life threatening injuries. The driver of a commercial motor vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating.

This morning an accident occurred in the 2700 hundred block of Harrison Brookville road. US52.

Units arrived and shut down the road for safety of responders

As of 0800 the road is still closed for investigation by law enforcement do to the seriousness of the accident.

Anyone needing to go east on US52 should take ST RD 1 up to I-74 to go to the Ohio area.

🚨Folks only 12 days away and counting until NTVFD has its 1st Annual side by side🛺, Jeep 🛻and Motorcycle🏍️ Benefit. We have been putting the final touches on the food🍔, the entertainment🎼 and the routes that each group will be taking.
We have several stops planned for breaks. 🛑
We have been talking to many other groups fine tuning the details✍️. Don’t know about you but we are getting all reeved 🏎️up for the ride!
Get your engines tuned, get that ride all shined up, share this post and bring a friend.

Today, we remember, honor and thank all of the members of our military that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Allowing us to live in this free nation, where we can all live and prosper.
Thank you to the families that have also made sacrifices as well. We need to support them who are left to grieve and continue on.

NTVFD is looking for members of the community that want to volunteer but not necessarily as a firefighter, but more in a supportive position. We are looking for people who have a special skills maybe you are in to computers and you are an expert on Microsoft products.
Maybe your are an diesel technician and have the skills and knowledge in this area.
If you are a retired person and have a desire to be a part of the community.
We are looking for you! There are many areas that you can be apart of and offer support.
If you are interested and would like more info you can stop by on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
