Ontelaunee Park which is open to the public for picnics, family reunions, birthday parties, etc. There is a 1 mile walking trail for all the residents to use at their leisure as well as a disc golf course. The park area has now been acquired by Lynn Township through various grants and is being developed into a municipal park. To reserve a pavilion, call Lynn Township at 610-298-2645 or visit http:

It was an honor to join Charlie's family, friends, and fellow Slatington Lions in recognizing a distinguished member who received The Spirit Award for volunteerism and business leadership from the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce. Charlie has demonstrated exceptional commitment to civic leadership, joining the Slatington Lions in 1995 and progressing through the ranks to serve as a past president. Bring your shovels and clippers (hand tools) to help us create a beautiful stream side environment within Ontelaunee Park this Saturday, June 6th. An on-going process, this Saturday, we'll work to remove invasive plants in order to allow room for native plants to flourish. Look for us to your right as you enter the park's front entrance from Route 143. We'll be working from 12 noon until about 3 pm.

Recommended attire: long pants, long sleeve shirts, boots or good shoes, no flip flops.

This event is for teens and up. Great opportunity for volunteer hours. (Please check in with an EAC member upon arrival if you are logging for hours.)
