On May 28, 2026, at approximately 12:12 AM, the Weesaw Township Fire Department was called to respond to an unknown single-car rollover crash. The first officer arrived on the scene within minutes and began assessing the patients. Two individuals were transported to Corewell Health St. Joe, while one patient was transferred to Helen DeVos Hospital in Grand Rapids for surgery.

Everyone at the Weesaw Township Fire Department is keeping those involved in this crash in our thoughts and prayers.

Last night at around 12:07 AM, the Weesaw and Baroda Fire Departments were dispatched to a barn fire in the 13000 block of Cleveland Avenue. Engine 2221 responded within minutes of the call, followed shortly by Tanker 2231 and Baroda Tanker 234.

The first officer arrived on the scene and took command. The fire was located in the alpha/delta wall and had spread into the attic. Firefighters faced challenges due to the metal lining on the building's ceilings and walls. They cut inspection holes on the outside of the alpha/delta wall and began applying water. Subsequently, they vented the roof to check for any extensions of the fire. The fire was under control in about 45 minutes, no injuries were reported, and no animals were hurt. Units cleared the station around 2:40am after washing equipment.
