🌱 Let It Grow Grant: Learning Beyond the Classroom!
Thanks to the ISD 88 Foundation, New Ulm Middle School students are growing more than vegetables in their school garden — they’re growing their knowledge!
STEM teacher Amber Gremmels took the initiative to submit a grant request for a fence around the garden, helping protect the crops from hungry wildlife and giving students a better chance at a successful harvest.
The garden provides hands-on learning opportunities where students can explore plant science, agriculture, ecosystems, sustainability, and where their food comes from. It also encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and a deeper connection to the environment.
A big thank-you to Amber for turning an idea into an opportunity for students to learn, explore, and grow! 🌻
