New Virginia Fire Department Receives $27,895.00 From Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant to Fund Extrication Equipment Upgrades
July 9, 2025 – New Virginia, Iowa. Prairie Meadows recently awarded the New Virginia Fire Department a Community Betterment Grant totaling $27,895.00. The grant will help fund new Extrication Equipment for the fire department. Prairie Meadows is a nonprofit organization dedicated to lessening the burden of government by promoting economic development, jobs, agriculture, and tourism in the state of Iowa.

The extrication equipment upgrades will improve the lives of people in central Iowa by enabling the New Virginia Fire Department to more effectively and safely serve the community. The $27,895.00 grant will allow the New Virginia Fire Department to upgrade their extrication equipment.
