The campground at Washoe Lake State Park will be closed from Tuesday, May 5 through Friday, May 8, 2026. Campsites will not be available during this time period.
The campground will re-open on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Today’s Sand Dunes Hike was cold and windy, but we saw a Bald Eagle hovering above us for a few seconds before it continued on its way!

Join us for the grand opening of the new 18 hole disc golf course at Washoe Lake State Park on April 11 starting at 9am.

Come learn what disc golf is all about, explore the course, and get a hands-on introduction. Bring your favorite discs, or borrow some of the park’s limited supply. Enjoy snacks, swag, and more!

Disc golf is easy to learn, a great way to enjoy the outdoors, and fun for all ages!
