Life Flight Coming to Walker County.
Memorial Hermann Life Flight is expanding its presence here in Walker County with support for new aviation hangars and operations at Huntsville Municipal Airport! This important development will help strengthen critical emergency medical air transport right here in our community.

Life Flight — a nationally known air ambulance service based out of Memorial Hermann — has a long history of delivering critical care and air transport across Southeast Texas, and now Walker County will be even better positioned to benefit.

Groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility will be held at Huntsville Municipal Airport Monday January 19th at 1PM!

VOTING LINES ADJUSTED

The Texas Legislature, in the 89th Legislature, enacted a congressional redistricting map. To comply, Walker County had to adjust Commissioner Precinct Lines. Most of Precinct 4 is the same however several areas changed. Precinct 4 gained TDCJ’s Goree unit and an area around Powell Rd. in Huntsville. Precinct 4 lost the area between Veterans Memorial and IH-45. Commissioners Court created a new voting box, 406, to keep the Bath Community in Precinct 4.
