President Trump has nominated Dr. Heidi Overton to run the FDA, and her record on abortion should worry anyone who cares about reproductive freedom.

She celebrated the fall of Roe, she's pushed false claims about mifepristone's safety, an she's advocated to defund Planned Parenthood in favor of 'crisis pregnancy centers' (aka fake abortion clinics).

The FDA commissioner has real power over medication abortion access nationally, and Overton's nomination is yet another signal that access attacks at the federal level will only escalate.

Overton has said that Congress should strictly regulate abortion drug mifepristone ‘to protect women and children’
