It’s been a long year. We’ve celebrated. We’ve mourned. We’ve moved. Through it all we’ve been so appreciative of your support. Before we closed the restaurant on Pearl Street last December, we got an opportunity to work with filmmaker Ken Lacouture. What a gift this was for our entire Bove’s family...

South Burlington, Vermont
John H. Knox - Photographer
Yesterday I had to take my wife to the dentist at 0700. While she was with the dentist I ventured over to the Whales' Tails in South Burlington. This is the first time I have ever been to the Whates' Tails but had it under consideration as my South Burlington picture for the 251 towns in Vermont project. Was pleased with the results and so will count this as my South Burlington photo. Incidently I am closing in on the project as I now have only 13 unphotographed towns. I will continue to share with my FB friends. This is number eleven of the series that hopefully will total 251 someday.

Waterville, Vermont
John H. Knox - Photographer
Fall foliage is slowly starting to appear. However, in my opinion it is late this year. This photograph was taken on Sept 14th with very little color showing. The tree on the right is a soft maple which generally turns early, but the surrounding vegatation is still very green. I love this bridge named Village Bridge in Waterville. I have taken it many times but this is the first time that I have taken it early in the morning just as the sun was coming up.

Waterville, Vermont

I recently posted a view of this same bridge when the color was just starting to change. Yesterday I returned and made this image. The bright red maple is now in almost full color and the yellow flowers coupled with the blue sky make for a color saturated photo. This tree is a soft maple and does turn earlier than the sugar maple. For those of you watching the foligage it is definately late this year. I am predicting peak foliage on Oct 15th. I may be way off, but that is my prediction

For the past two decades an owner of a well-known pizza restaurant has been helping sick kids in an untraditional way.

Pomfret, Vermont
John H. Knox - Photographer
This image was taken yesterday on Cloudland Road in Pomfret, VT. This location is a delight for all photographers and is equally beautiful in the fall. New mint green leaves are particularly responsive to strong backlighting which was used in this early morning photograph.

Slaughter House Bridge - Northfield Falls, Vermont
John H. Knox - Photographer
Spring is such a beautiful time of the year in Vermont. Mint green leaves, crab trees, yellow dandelions, tulips, and lilacs. It is a photographer's paradise. Here sits the Slaughter House covered bridge surrounded by those mint green leaves and a flowering crab. Don't worry about the name slaughter house, it is long gone, just the name has survived.
