Justyna Górowska is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice combines performance, digital technology, and ecological activism. Drawing on art, science, and feminist thought, she explores intimate relationships between people, water, and the natural environment using mythology to reimagine human connection with the more-than-human world.⁠
⁠
As part of the Artists at Work program, Górowska will discuss her recently published monograph, WetMeWild, tracing the development of her interdisciplinary practice and performative persona of the same name. WetMeWild is a hydrosexual water nymph inspired by Slavic mythology, through which Górowska explores ideas of intimacy, desire, ecology, and transformation.⁠

She will also discuss immersive art installations that combine performance with natural and cultural objects and digital technologies, including the AR application Nymph Tears.⁠

The program offers an opportunity to encounter Górowska’s practice at the intersection of performance, technology, ecology, and mythology, and to hear directly from the artist about her ongoing research and work.⁠

On the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, we honour its brave women and men, as well as the people of Warsaw who supported them.

Directed by Andrzej Wajda and written by Holland, 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘻𝘢𝘬 tells the true story of Dr. Janusz Korczak, a Polish-Jewish pediatrician, educator, and writer who cared for 200 orphans inside the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II and refused to abandon them before their ex*****on at Treblinka N**i German extermination camp.

More than three decades after its premiere, the film remains one of cinema’s most profound reflections on moral courage.

Every generation should discover Andrzej Wajda's films on the big screen.
If you've only heard of him, now is the time.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Andrzej Wajda's birth, our friends at Cleveland Cinematheque are presenting a retrospective celebrating one of cinema's true visionaries. From 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘴 and 𝘒𝘢𝘯𝘢ł to 𝘔𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘭𝘦 and 𝘒𝘢𝘵yń, Wajda's films transformed personal stories into unforgettable portraits of history, memory, and resistance.
His impact expanded beyond Poland, influencing filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese. He was awarded an Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2000.

As part of the North American tour of the 29-film retrospective of his work, available only in 2026, this 11-film series from across his more than six-decade career brings together his most well-known and celebrated work with those deserving to be discovered, many in brand new 4K restorations, highlighting the diversity of his oeuvre.

Diallogue between image and form.

The "Zieta Illustrated" is a project in which leading Polish illustrators interpret iconic objects by Oskar Zięta through a series of limited-edition prints that reveal new meanings and visual narratives.

In her new series 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒐𝒏-𝑬𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔, Barlik deconstructs one of the world's most recognizable emblems to reconsider what communities are built upon and what futures they might still imagine.
