โ
Justyna Gรณrowska is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice combines performance, digital technology, and ecological activism. Drawing on art, science, and feminist thought, she explores intimate relationships between people, water, and the natural environment using mythology to reimagine human connection with the more-than-human world.โ
โ
As part of the Artists at Work program, Gรณrowska will discuss her recently published monograph, WetMeWild, tracing the development of her interdisciplinary practice and performative persona of the same name. WetMeWild is a hydrosexual water nymph inspired by Slavic mythology, through which Gรณrowska explores ideas of intimacy, desire, ecology, and transformation.โ
โ
She will also discuss immersive art installations that combine performance with natural and cultural objects and digital technologies, including the AR application Nymph Tears.โ
โ
The program offers an opportunity to encounter Gรณrowskaโs practice at the intersection of performance, technology, ecology, and mythology, and to hear directly from the artist about her ongoing research and work.โ
