Families can now begin to pick up meals near their community provided by the NYCDOE. They can pick up 3 meals at the same time. Here are the open sites in District 14 - Williamsburg, and District 32 - Bushwick.

There is a lot of fear in our communities about filling out a government form. The Trump administration tried (and failed) to add a citizenship question to the Census while targeting our most vulnerable communities. This was done to make sure our people remain in the shadows. Rest assured that no matter your legal status, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO RESPOND TO THE CENSUS. All the information you provide is PRIVATE and will not be shared with ICE or any government agency. Your information will ONLY be used for statistical purposes. Do not let fear prevent your family from being counted!

Approximately 30% of Bushwick and South Williamsburg residents responded to the 2010 Census, as a result, we lost funding for our schools, hospitals, parks, and community programs. Our families and communities deserve the resources needed to thrive! We matter and our communities matter!

El Puente is committed to encouraging all of our families to be counted for the Census. It is our responsibility to make sure our communities are informed and receive the resources needed to thrive. Every day of this week we will be posting information on the Census. We will have a Census table with materials on the Census at our Three Kings Show on January 19th.

El Puente se compromete a alentar a todas nuestras familias a ser contadas para el Censo. Es nuestra responsabilidad asegurarnos de que nuestras comunidades estén informadas y reciban los recursos necesarios para prosperar.
