John’s University , the St. John’s University College Democrats shall empower St. John’s University students to drive progressive change in New York City, in New York State, and across the country through advocacy, activism, and action. On campus, we work with other progressive groups to help organize voter registration drives, political speakers, as well as everyone's favorite - College Democrat
vs. College Republican debates on campus. Within the community, we uphold our role as the outreach wing of the Democratic Party, with active involvement in local community service efforts, progressive groups such as Living Liberally, and working to help elect Democrats to local, state, and national office. So, if you are looking to bring out the inner-Democrat and have a direct impact in bringing real, progressive, change to our campus, our neighborhood, and our country,(or even if your a Republican who wants to learn or discuss the issues) come join us!
