Proud and thrilled! The Free Summer Meals Food Truck is BACK for 2026 and expanding – but we need families to show up and use it so the City sees how essential it is for our community. Last year the truck was in Staten Island for 11 days. This year through a lot of hard work, it is expanding to 5 weeks, from August 1, 2026 - September 4, 2026.
Huge thank you to Assemblymember Sam Pirozzolo and City Council Member David Carr for standing with H.E.A.L.T.H for Youths, and our community to make sure Staten Island is fully included in NYC’s Free Summer Meals program. Please support and spread the word!
- Clove Lakes Park – Victory Boulevard, west of Clove Road, next to the basketball courts and baseball field #2.
- Free meals for everyone 18 years old and under – no ID, no registration, just show up!
- Summer 2026 Food Truck Season (Staten Island)
• Food truck runs 7 days a week
• Service window: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on weekdays, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM on weekends.
Every visit helps prove Staten Island families rely on this resource. Bring your children, tell your neighbors, tag your schools, teams, and community groups, and please repost widely so no child misses a meal this summer.

Before, during, and after pictures from our May 30, 2026 maintenance evening at the Monarch Waystation.
Huge thank you to the Parks Department for helping protect and sustain this project. Over the years, we’ve also been fortunate to receive plants through the Native Plant Street Tree Pilot Program.
Some exciting finds in the beds this season:
• All beds include daffodil bulbs donated by the Daffodil Project
• Bed 2: Native yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
• Bed 3: A standout mix of yarrow, blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum), and butterfly w**d (Asclepias tuberosa), New York City’s official wildflower and a monarch favorite
• Bed 4: More yarrow coming in strong
In the coming weeks, we’ll be cutting back daffodil foliage, adding mulch, and continuing to steward the native plants as they emerge.
