Join us this Saturday at Rufus King Park for Every Baby Counts.

As we recognize Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we come together to honor the lives lost, raise awareness, and support families in our community. Connect with local organizations and resources, share in a moment of remembrance, and take part in a meaningful butterfly release in honor of the babies we hold in our hearts.

Breast cancer impacts millions of individuals and families each year. This month, we encourage our community to learn about breast health, prioritize recommended screenings, and support efforts that expand access to care for everyone.

Early detection saves lives, and everyone deserves access to breast cancer screening regardless of income or location. Let's work together to raise awareness, share resources, and support those affected by breast cancer!

Strong communities are built through strong partnerships. 🤝

PHS was proud to join Grand St. Settlement and our community partners at the Brooklyn United Resource Fair, connecting hundreds of Brooklyn residents to vital resources, services, and support. Together, we’re expanding access, strengthening neighborhoods, and meeting people where they are.

Behind every data point is a person, a family, and a story.

In this member story, Dr. Alister Martin, Commissioner of the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, highlights how factors like access to care, nutritious food, stable housing, and reliable transportation can impact health and well-being.

Two years ago, New York’s Social Care Networks didn’t exist. Today, they’ve helped connect 1.5 million New Yorkers to essential resources like food, housing support, transportation, and other services that help improve health outcomes.

Last week, partners across the WholeYouNYC network came together to celebrate an important milestone: 750,000 Medicaid members screened for health-related social needs.

This achievement reflects the power of collaboration and investment in whole-person care. As we look ahead, it’s critical as we continue building this progress, so New Yorkers can access the support they need to live healthier, more stable lives.

Every child deserves a healthy start, but far too many families struggle to afford an adequate supply of diapers. During National Diaper Need Awareness Week, we're raising awareness of this critical issue. According to the National Diaper Bank Network, nearly 40% of U.S. households with young children in diapers experience diaper insecurity. In 2026, the Queens Diaper Bank is distributing an average of 28,400 diapers every month to families facing diaper need.

Check out the infographic below for key facts and statistics about diaper need awareness.

Food insecurity is about more than food. It takes trusted community organizations, strong partnerships, and access to culturally responsive resources that support health and well-being.

Last week, Public Health Solutions was honored to join community and city leaders in Williamsburg for the ribbon-cutting of a new kosher food pantry at United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg. Representing PHS and WholeYouNYC, our Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of WholeYouNYC, Zachariah Hennessey, joined partners from across New York City and New York State to celebrate this important milestone.

This new pantry reflects what is possible when communities come together to address food insecurity. 🤝 We are proud to stand alongside Met Council, UJO Williamsburg, and community leaders to help ensure New Yorkers have the resources they need to thrive.

We’re excited to partner with Grand St. Settlement and bring our community back together as we close out the summer with love, unity, and purpose.

As always, we’re bringing some friends along Chase, NIA Youth Center, Save Our Streets Brooklyn, NYPD Community Affairs, Brooklyn Book Bodega, ModifyHealth Community Health, the Marcy Houses NSTAT team, and more!

This year, we’re introducing a new focus, as we stand together against gun violence and continue working towards a safer future for our community!

Join us for a day filled with community resources, refreshments, giveaways, entertainment, performances, activities, music, and more!

Let’s come together, show up for one another, and remind Brooklyn what happens when we stand UNITED. ❤️🫶

What does the future of healthcare look like?

Join us at the Healthix 2026 Annual Conference, where our President and CEO, Cassaundra Howell will participate in the “Policy to Practice: Responding to National Healthcare Priorities at the Local Level” panel.

Cassaundra will share insights on how local collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and integrated systems can help turn policy into action and improve health outcomes for the communities that need it most.

Alongside leaders from healthcare, public health, government, and community organizations, she’ll explore practical approaches to today’s most pressing healthcare challenges and strategies for building a stronger, more connected healthcare ecosystem.
