How would you build a government? 🏛️

Seniors in Mr. Keeports’ Government class worked together to decide how their governments should function, what laws they would establish, and how they would protect their communities. Using chart paper, students made their thinking visible and explained the reasoning behind their choices—bringing the social contract to life!

¿Cómo organizarías un gobierno? 🏛️

A ribbon was cut today, but what opened was so much more than a pool.

The new aquatic center at the James Monroe Campus represents opportunity, access, and a commitment to our students and community. Our swim team was honored to participate in the celebration, demonstrating the skills, confidence, and discipline they have developed through the sport.

One message echoed throughout the event: Swimming is a life skill, not a luxury.

Thanks to the partnership between Vanessa Gibson and the School Construction Authority, as well as Deputy Mayor Dean Fuleihan, Deputy Chancellor Kevin Moran, Assemblymember Emerita Torres , students now have access to a world-class facility where they can learn water safety, build lifelong skills, and pursue athletic excellence.

We can’t wait to see the impact this space will have on future generations of Monroe students. 🏊‍♂️💙
