COBA mourns the passing of Correction Officer Latisha Boone, a proud member of NYC’s BOLDEST, who served our Department with honor since 2013 and was assigned to SOD.

For more than a decade, she faithfully dedicated her life to keeping our city safe and proudly served alongside many of her fellow correction officers, who became her extended family.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Officer Boone’s family, friends, co-workers and the entire SOD family during this incredibly difficult time.

May she rest in eternal peace.

You will never be forgotten, CO Boone.

COBA mourns the passing of retired Correction Officer Samuel Perry, who dedicated more than four decades of his life to the New York City Department of Correction. Perry joined the Department in 1959 and left a lasting mark on DOC, a legacy that continues today through the Samuel Perry Building on Rikers Island.

COBA extends our deepest condolences to his family and everyone whose career was touched by his service. Rest in eternal peace, Officer Perry.
