Consideration by Betty Reardon for all Peace Educators and those who seek peace. What needs to be added to the US Troop withdrawal from Afghanistan to ensure that peace will follow? I urge o to take the time and to engage is this thinking and share it with others! Please add your comments. Does UN Resolution 1325 have something to offer?

The Global Campaign for Peace Education urges the peace education community to inquire into the terms of the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan that would be as ethical and constructive as possible. We see such an inquiry as a first step toward the design of a comprehensive and effective transiti...

Not too long ago we created this video as a farewell to our Colleagues: The Christian Initiative International Learning, (CIL) where we began together our mission in 1984. Ours then became Network for Peace through Dialogue. Our Archives are held with the Schlesinger Library in Harvard and now they (CIL) are sending their Archives to the German National Library and to the University Library in Frankfurt/M .

Sad news. I recently sent this note to our former Network for Peace Board: It is with great sadness that I share with you the news that Patricia L Jobling has died. Susan Ryan, her beloved partner, informed me that Pat died on April 8, after a valiant battle with cancer. Pat was a wise consultant and also a great friend. She volunteered her copious talents in management and planning to our organization over many years. She met with our Board many times at Sea Girt and at Marymount Manhattan College With her impetus we changed our name to Network for Peace through Dialogue and with her encouragement began our several major conferences. Pat understood and loved our mission. She was generous in spending her time and wisdom with us. In addition she was a dear friend. I am attaching some photos of some of our days together. I am sure they will bring back memories of the great work we did together.

Honoring Indigenous Peoples! I wrote this article a few years having been inspired by strong women who were working to stop human trafficking within their native community. The story, needs and questions and hope for change is still there so I share it again with my Facebook Friends. One small action for change is powerful!!! I always love comments back as it generates hope!

For the past five years, I have participated in the annual meetings of the United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women. I am inspired by the women who come forward to share their stories, but I wonder: Are we going forward in this struggle?

How many of us have been so grateful to have Dr Fauci on stage as this administration daily "tells" us about COVID19. Here is something of his story. I am grateful that Dr Fauci is present and sorry when he misses a session.

Approaching the virus and our future with hope!Words from Betty Reardon, peace educator, Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the UN, "For a Global Ceasefire!". Bill Gates, "The Next Outbreak!" We can look and think about this global breakdown as an opportunity for Transformation!

Many in peace and justice movements have called for using this critical time to reflect, plan and learn our way to a more positive future. One contribution we, peace educators might make to this process is reflection on the possibilities for alternative language and metaphors toward which peace ling...

I am sure this would be classified as Fake News! But the virus has no boundaries and will not be influenced by words no matter what is said . Love in action and concern for the other and change to include rather than to exclude and Human Rights sharing resources for ALL is the only answer. I will try to do my small part and to stop blaming and to love more as the virus is here and growing and destroying.

The ways he dealt with crises in his business, real estate and even his personal life prove jarring as he leads the government’s response to a pandemic.
