A piece of a Manhattan building fell and shattered a man's skull.

Our client was walking on a sidewalk when a football-sized chunk of building ledge broke off and struck him in the head, fracturing his skull and causing a traumatic brain injury.

The ledge had been previously repaired under Local Law 11 — but the wrong materials were used. Our firm brought in structural engineers who confirmed it.

We sued the building owner, the construction company that made the repair, and the inspection company hired to verify the work.

The defendants denied notice of any defect and disputed the traumatic brain injury. They moved to dismiss. We defeated them. They appealed. We won again.

On the eve of jury selection, they offered $1 million. We said no. They came back with $4 million. We said no again.
