Not in My Hood “Not in My Hood” is a series of concerts to serve as an initiative to stop the violence and increase the peace.

Not in My Hood, a movement to promote non-violence in inner city communities while empowering youth through educational, employment & recreational opportunities. Through this event, we seek to engage a large number of young people by involving them in community service and having them sign an anti-violence pledge, which will allow them to receive a voucher for a FREE concert ticket. Having young p

eople go through this process will give them a greater ownership of their community and pride in themselves. Our mission is to:

- Stem the rising number of violent shootings in New York City; An effort to create a safe place for young people to learn and grow.

- Take a block-by-block approach, To assess the problems specific to the individuals of the block.

- Provide positive opportunities, which will allow the young people engaged to have positive choices.

- Fight violence in a strong, efficient but POSITIVE way.

- Connect with young people and show them their potential.
