On June 22, 2026, Frente Popular Revolucionario (FPR) were attacked by the Mexican State in Oaxaca. One man, Juan José Cruz Padilla, was killed, while two others, Jesús Sabas and José Alberto Martínez Luna, were critically injured. This attack was primarily directed against the director of FPR in Sierra and former Municipal President José Alberto Martínez Luna. These champions of equality, education, housing, and basic human rights, were attacked by the Mexican State for threatening the false image of Mexico the state was trying to build during its time as a World Cup host country.

This attack is a tactic of fear used by the Mexican State in order to halt peoples’ movements in their fight for true equity and dignity; it is an extension of the State’s fear of the Frente Popular Revolucionario, of their steadfast commitment to improve the material conditions of Mexican people. This fear has been shown by the murder of other activists such as Tomás Martínez Pinacho, who fought for food security and medical access in rural communities, The Mexican State has demonstrated, countless times, that it is more willing to kill and maim its citizens than provide them with a healthy and dignified life. The State would rather kill farmers and school teachers than offer equitable justice and wealth to its people.

While we fight against the many manifestations of the capitalist state like ICE and police departments here in the US, we must also stand in solidarity with workers all over the world struggling against the bourgeoisie of their own country for liberation!

The Empire wears no clothes as the US State Department issues a report declaring anti-war, anti-imperialist activism against the United States' harassment and siege of Cuba of acting as "Cuban assets" continuing that is "time to crush this evil" of anti-imperialism. In light of this incredibly honest and foul reactionary threat, the anti-war and anti-imperialist movement in America must strengthen to the utmost possible extent against these "champions of freedom and democracy" in their gilded halls of the White House!

Today marks 36 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Disabled people still face financial oppression with outdated SSI "benefits," are disproportionately victimized by police, and can still be paid sub-minimum wage based on a metric of "productivity." Capitalism = ableism!

In a move that lays bare the raw power imbalance between giant corporations and the working people who keep their operations running, Cargill has locked out more than 1,700 workers at its massive beef processing plant in Fort Morgan, CO. The action, which began on May 20, 2026, came after union members overwhelmingly rejected the company’s inadequate contract proposal.

These workers, represented by Teamsters Local 455, have been demanding fairer wages that actually keep pace with the rising cost of living, improved health care, and real commitments to safety in one of the most dangerous industries in America. Instead of bargaining in good faith, Cargill chose to shut the gates and cut off paychecks, betting that economic pressure would break the resolve of working families.

Communities, consumers, and fellow workers should rally behind these families. Boycotts of Cargill products during the lockout, donations to strike funds, and political pressure on local and national leaders to side with labor over corporate giants can make a difference. Cargill and companies like it thrive because the system allows them to amass vast wealth while treating workers as disposable. The only real answer is organized, militant resistance by working people who refuse to accept crumbs when they produce the banquet. The picket lines in Fort Morgan are a frontline in the ongoing battle for dignity on the job. Every worker watching this unfold should take note: your fight is connected to theirs. Stand strong, Fort Morgan. The working class is stronger when we stand as one.

In the summer of 1894, as economic depression devastated working-class communities across the United States, a struggle erupted that would bring the nation’s rail system to a standstill and pit hundreds of thousands of workers against some of the most powerful interests in the country. What began as a local dispute at the Pullman Palace Car Company outside Chicago, where workers faced wage cuts while remaining trapped in an exploitative company town, rapidly grew into a nationwide strike movement fueled by solidarity. The federal government ultimately intervened on behalf of the railroads and industrialists, exposing for everyone to see whose side the government was really on.

The roots of the conflict lay in the Panic of 1893, an economic depression unprecedented in its severity until the Great Depression thirty years later (1929-1939). Millions of people lost their jobs and livelihoods, great destitution spread throughout the country, due ironically to the abundance of goods that could not be sold, and production came to a halt. As demand for new railroad cars plummeted, George Pullman, the owner of the Pullman Palace Car Company, responded by laying off over 2,000 workers and cutting wages for those who remained by roughly 25 percent, on average. However, the company made no corresponding reductions in the rents or prices charged in Pullman, Illinois, the model town built to house its workforce. In these “model towns”, controlled by the company, workers lived in company-owned housing, shopped at company stores, and paid company rates for utilities, all while facing a paternalistic system that left little room for independent decision-making. As workers grew increasingly frustrated, a grievance committee was set up but their attempts to negotiate were rebuffed, and several representatives were fired. On May 11, the workers had had enough and decided to walk out.
