Following a heartfelt presentation actor and writer Stephen Beresford () on Monday night at our Golden Heart Awards, Andrew Scott received the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Humanitarianism & Cultural Impact. Through performances defined by empathy, vulnerability, and courage, Andrew has used storytelling to illuminate our shared humanity and help audiences feel seen.

That commitment continues in his upcoming film “Elsinore” (Elsinore), the story of actor Ian Charleson preparing to play “Hamlet” while living with AIDS. Andrew’s reflections on the film and his reminder that nourishment preserves both life and its joy held special meaning for GLWD, as our life-saving work began during the AIDS epidemic. Andrew’s sincerity, humor, and generous spirit brought warmth and optimism to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (St. John the Divine), and we are honored to welcome him into the GLWD family.
