Yesterday members of the National Socialist Movement (NSM, self-described as “America’s N**i Party”) openly protested outside Broadway’s Jacobs Theatre, carrying signs, harassing attendees and chanting anti-Semitic bile. https://twitter.com/jacobhwasserman/status/1628192010405380098 They were protesting the premiere of Parade, a musical featuring the true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish man who was falsely arrested in Marietta, Georgia in 1913, and lynched in 1915.
New York City police were present, and let the N**is know they would not be interfered with unless they became visibly physically violent.
NSM leaflets falsely called Frank “a Jewish child murdering pedophile,” emphasizing the word “Jewish.” This claim was repeated in the chants of the N**i’s. The leaflets also promoted the so-called “Goyim Defense League” an anti-Semitic neo-N**i group who were stopped by anti-fascists from attacking a Drag Queen Story Hour in New York’s Lincoln Centre a few months ago.
Parade star Ben Platt said he heard of the “ugly and scary” protest after the performance, and called the group “disgusting.” “I just think now is the moment for this particular piece,” he added.
Performances like these need to be defended. However laudable what goes on inside the theatre, it will not make up for letting the N**i’s dominate the streets outside. Counter-demonstrations in NYC should be 100 to one against N**is.

“The National Socialist Movement, a neo-N**i hate group, is protesting outside of the Broadway revival of “Parade,” stating that Leo Frank, the subject of the musical, was a pedophile.”

DEFEND DRAG STORY HOUR IN NYC!

Help protect q***r spaces and expression under threat from the far right!

The far right has placed a target on Drag Story Hours nationwide, and New York is no exception. A group of violent, loud bigots, who have repeatedly harassed and invaded these events in the city, is openly planning to disrupt the next Drag Story Hour, on Thursday, December 29, at the Jackson Heights Library in Queens.

Q***r community members and allies will be there to show the fascists they are not welcome, but that kids and drag queens are.

Let's show NYC's unwavering support for Drag Story Hour and for q***r and trans people, and make a safe, encouraging, and joyful welcome for kids and their grownups as they enter the library.

Friday 12/9 and Saturday 12/10, the New York Young Republican Club is hosting the national and international Far Right in Manhattan -- at their annual gala, and another event at the Women's National Republican Club. They have tried to keep the gala location secret, and are working with the NYPD to suppress any protest.

Saturday night's gala lineup of headliners, at the yet-undisclosed location, includes high-profile far-right U.S. figures Marjorie Taylor Greene, Steve Bannon, Donald Trump Jr., Roger Stone, Rudy Giuliani, and Jack Posobiec, powerful purveyors of bigotry and disinformation; and Bernie Kerik, former NYPD Commissioner and convicted felon pardoned by Trump.

Solidarity statement from the Greek antiracist & antifascist organisation KEERFA on the antifascist occupation of Department of Political Science Sapienza Roma

Solidarity with the anti-fascist occupation of the Sapienza University of Rome
We welcome the occupation of the Political Science Department of the University of Rome and express our solidarity with the anti-fascist movement in Italy. The occupation took place by decision of a mass assembly of hundreds of students. It was the response to the brutal suppression of the anti-fascist mobilization of students on October 25 against the fascists' attempt to set up a fascist gathering in their university, with the support of the party of the Brothers of Italy of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The students faced an o**y of police brutality, with blows to the head, savage beatings and arrests.

From Greece to Italy, Europe and the entire Planet, Mussolini's fascist nostalgists and Hitler's neo-N**i nostalgists fit nowhere but in the prisons, the sewers, and the margins of history. The elevation of Meloni to the primeminister of Italy has whetted the appetite of those nostalgic for fascism. They have the audacity to want to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Mussolini's March on Rome on October 28th.

Fascists are emboldened by Meloni's policies of racism who want solidarity ships rescuing drowning refugees not to dock in Italian ports, as was the case in Europe when Hitler's persecuted Jews suffered the same fate.

In Greece, with the persistent, mass and militant struggle we crushed the Golden Dawn N**is and sent them to prison. It is the N**i formation of the murderers of the anti-fascist musician Pavlos Fyssa and the migrant worker Shehzat Luqman to which Lorenzo Fontana, the current president of the Italian Parliament, sent his support message in 2016.

It is time to continue united, inspired by the tradition of the Arditi del Popolo who fought the rise of Mussolini as well as the Partisan Resistance.

We are against the normalization of fascism through the legitimization of Meloni as Prime Minister of Italy. The labor movement and youth across Europe need to unite in demanding "No to the legalization of Meloni", no to racism and fascism, for a world of solidarity.

The struggle of the students of the Sapienza University is also our struggle, for a world without fascism, racism, sexism, poverty, climate disaster.
