Community Links Supported Education program, warmly invites you to our Spring 2023 10-week Academy of Peer Services Support Group.
The aim is to give individuals support so they are able to successfully ace the thirteen APS Core Courses that are needed to apply for the provisional NYS Peer Specialist Certificate (NYCPS).
Each week we will check-in, share our progress and celebrate successes, and review APS online course materials. Based on group interest additional time will be dedicated to discussing effective study skills - setting up a study area, time-management, calendaring, note-taking, organization, test-preparation and more.
The group - facilitated by Community Links Supported Education Counselors will meet online using Zoom. There will be an orientation to using Zoom meetings for those who are new to the platform.
Initial Orientation - Tuesday, June 6, 2023 - 2pm-3pm
The first session will be an Orientation to learn more about the weekly support group, the Academy of Peer Services, and peer certification.
10-Week Support sessions - Tuesdays 2pm-3pm;
June 6 - August 15
Eligible individuals are encouraged to commit to join the weekly online support group.
