Today Clare Stokolosa's Demystifying Watercolor class concluded with an exhibition/showcase. Clare is kneeling on the right. The gentleman behind her is Jason Antos with the Queens Historical Society, who organizes the 10-session event every year. The funder is our own city council member Shekar Krishnan. Our thanks to everyone who made this year's class such a great success. Also included are three interpretations of the same scene. These artists all had a different sense of the colors the wanted to fill into this supplied sketch, but they're all equally beautiful.

We had a full bus go to New Hope, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, May 16th. The weather was the biggest star. I think you can see it in the photos. Just remarkable. The town is so quaint (still) and many of us had a chance to see a matinee performance of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Bucks County Playhouse. It was a Broadway-caliber performance. Many thanks to our volunteers and Patrick, who helped amuse us on the bus and kept us fed and hydrated. Oh, and the bus driver got us there in record time, though the ride back had some traffic. No complaints, though.
