On Sept. 12th, the BRAG North team took part in the 5th Annual Summer Sounds Block Party at Laconia Ave. The event celebrated the Caribbean and Hip Hop music & culture of the 90s and early 2000s with music, live performances, and free giveaways to the Bronx Northeast community.
BRAG would like to thank Council Member Kevin C. Riley, Speaker Carl E. Heastie and Senator Jamaal T. Bailey for organizing the event, we thank the team for their hard work in helping the youths of the Bronx community and we thank everyone that came to our table, your continued support shows how important our mission is and why we will continue to fight for peace in our streets.
El 12 de septiembre, el equipo de BRAG North participó en la 5.ª edición anual de la fiesta vecinal “Summer Sounds” en Laconia Avenue. El evento celebró la música y la cultura caribeña y del hip-hop de los años 90 y principios de los 2000, ofreciendo música, actuaciones en vivo y obsequios gratuitos para la comunidad del noreste del Bronx.
BRAG desea expresar su agradecimiento al concejal Kevin C. Riley, al presidente de la Asamblea Carl E. Heastie y al senador Jamaal T. Bailey por organizar el evento; asimismo, agradecemos al equipo por su ardua labor en beneficio de los jóvenes de la comunidad del Bronx y a todas las personas que se acercaron a nuestro puesto. Su continuo apoyo demuestra la importancia de nuestra misión y la razón por la que seguiremos luchando por la paz en nuestras calles.
