The federal tax deadline for 2026 (filing your 2025 taxes) is:

👉 April 15, 2026 

Important things to know:
• ✔️ This is the deadline to file your return AND pay any taxes owed 
• ✔️ You can request an extension to October 15, 2026 if you need more time to file 
• ⚠️ But even with an extension, you still must pay by April 15 or you may get penalties and interest 

Exceptions:
• Some people in disaster areas may get extra time (varies by location)

FYI: Both parents can now claim the same child on separate tax returns this year 🤧

➡️ The non-custodial parent can claim the CTC
➡️ The custodial parent can claim the EITC
