CITIBIN warehouse, ready for the week's installs.

Before install day, the team pulls the exact panels, bases, and doors each order calls for and stages them together. Every part for every job, confirmed and grouped before the crew heads out. Staged sets go onto the freight elevator and into the work van, so the crew arrives on site with everything the job needs, nothing missing.

Prefabricated, modular, and ready to assemble.

When outdoor furniture shares the same finish, the facade looks intentional rather than pieced together.

That's why CITIBIN Planters are made in the same three finishes as our enclosures: Charcoal, Slate, and Coffee. Whichever CITIBIN trash enclosure you choose, there's a planter that matches it, so greenery and trash storage look like they were designed together, because they were.

Hurry! Today’s your last day to get a free CITIBIN Planter, a $595 value, with the purchase of a CITIBIN trash enclosure!

Available while supplies last. Visit the link in our bio to learn more.

Swipe to see the transformation at this Park Slope co-op! ➡️

After years of considering CITIBIN and dealing with multiple wooden enclosures that degraded outside, they decided to invest in CITIBIN for its look and longevity.

To maximize their front yard, the owners upgraded to a 10-module CITIBIN space-saving U-configuration.

Unlike wood enclosures that warp, crack, and rot over time, CITIBIN trash enclosures are built from powder-coated sheet aluminum and bamboo composite siding, designed to keep their look for years with low maintenance.

Before we write a proposal, we walk the district with the executive directors and operations managers.

That's how the Meatpacking District project started. We spent time on the cobblestones, took in the matte black metal, the corten steel, the brick. The district has a very specific design language, any public fixture needs to complement, including passing Landmarks Preservation Committee oversight.

From there, we put together a rendering. Swipe to see it alongside the finished installation. Renderings are an important part of our design process, and ours tend to look a lot like what actually gets built.

For Meatpacking, that meant corten steel panels fabricated by a metalworker in Brooklyn's Navy Yard, matching the corten planters already throughout the district. The LPC requirement shaped the material choice, and the result is an enclosure that belongs to the streetscape.

To see how CITIBIN will look in your city, park, or BID, contact us for a proposal. Every project proposal includes custom renderings to help you visualize the finished space.

We just signed a five-year lease on a warehouse three times the size of our last one, and received four containers of product from Vietnam in the same month.

That's a lot of boxes. That's a lot of commitment to what comes next.

As a small business owner, you sign the lease before you've filled the space. There's real fear in that. But standing in this warehouse right now, surrounded by stacked CITIBIN components ready to ship, the fear is quieter than the excitement.

The best thing about our CITIBIN compost bin at The Longest Table Chelsea? How little it had to do. ♻️

On Sunday, over 2,000 neighbors sat down together on West 21st Street for a block-long community potluck. CITIBIN was proud to provide the compost bins for the day, partnering with The Longest Table, Open Plans, and One Love Community Fridge to make sure that food didn’t go to waste, or to the landfill.

Our wrapped red bins saw lighter use than expected, which was actually the ultimate win! Thanks to Asmeret Berhe-Lumax and One Love Community Fridge, surplus food was rescued and redistributed to community fridges across NYC. Only genuine food scraps made it into our bins—meaning less overall waste and more food shared with neighbors in need.

Plus, our bins had plenty of fans: a steady stream of neighborhood dogs stopped by to say hello (and double-check for any stray leftovers!). 🐶

When thousands of people eat together, the best waste management system starts with reducing waste first. Huge kudos to founder Maryam Banikarim, Eric Parker, and all the incredible volunteers who made the day such a success!
