The best view of the Statue of Liberty? These peregrine falcons might have it🗽

For during , we’re looking up—way up. Peregrine falcons have been spotted perching in places visitors can’t go, including the rays of Liberty’s crown, her torch, and tablet.

They’re especially active around Liberty Island from January through April, staking out their territory and breeding during the early spring. The island also sits along a migratory corridor, giving these impressive hunters plenty of opportunities to find prey—and another reason to keep coming back.
