همزمان با پنجمین سال حاکمیت طالبان، نمایندگی دایمی افغانستان نزد سازمان ملل متحد از همه هموطنان عزیز در داخل و خارج از کشور صمیمانه دعوت می‌کند تا در دو نظرسنجی مستقل، ناشناس و داوطلبانه شرکت کرده و دیدگاه‌ها، تجربه‌ها، نگرانی‌ها و پیشنهادهای خود را درباره وضعیت کنونی و آینده افغانستان با ما شریک سازند.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Ravan A. G. Farhadi, one of Afghanistan’s most distinguished diplomats, scholars, and statesmen.

Throughout a lifetime of dedicated public service, he represented Afghanistan with exceptional wisdom, integrity, and dignity, including during his tenure as Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations in one of the most challenging periods in our nation’s history.

Dr. Farhadi’s legacy of principled diplomacy, intellectual depth, and unwavering commitment to his country will continue to inspire generations of Afghans.

On behalf of the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

May Allah grant him eternal peace and the highest place in Jannat al-Firdaws.

Mr. Naseer Ahmad Faiq, Chargé d’Affaires of the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations, signed the Book of Condolence at the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, conveying the heartfelt condolences of the people of Afghanistan, along with his own, on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

We strongly condemn the Pakistani airstrikes in Paktika, Paktia and Kunar, which, according to UNAMA, killed at least 28 civilians and injured 49 others, including women and children. No security concern can justify attacks that claim civilian lives or violate Afghanistan's territorial integrity. The Afghan people must not continue to pay the price for terrorism, the Taliban's provision of safe haven to terrorist groups, and military escalation.

حملات هوایی پاکستان بر ولایت‌های ‫ #پکتیکا‬، ‫ #پکتیا‬ و ‫ #کنر‬ را که بر اساس گزارش ابتدایی یوناما دست‌کم ۲۸ غیرنظامی را کشته و ۴۹ تن دیگر، از جمله زنان و کودکان، را زخمی کرده است، به‌شدت محکوم می‌کنیم.

80 years ago, the world adopted the UN Charter in the name of “We the Peoples.” Today, millions of Afghan people are denied the very rights it was created to protect.

Girls are barred from education. Women are erased from public life. Young people are left without hope for their future. An entire nation is silenced under rule. Fundamental rights are systematically denied.

The people of are still waiting for the Charter’s promise of human rights, dignity, and justice to become a reality.

The credibility of the Charter depends on defending those it was meant to protect.

🇦🇫 At the UN Security Council today, AFG underscored that nearly five years after the Taliban’s military takeover, the country remains trapped in a deep political, humanitarian, economic, and human rights crisis.

Key messages:

• 22 million Afghans need humanitarian assistance
• 5th year of girls’ education ban
• No legitimacy without human rights, women’s rights, and inclusive governance
• Terrorism and extremism remain serious threats
• Civilian casualties and attacks on civilian infrastructure are unacceptable
• A durable political solution—not crisis management—is essential

The detention of women by the Taliban’s morality police in Herat Province under the pretext of “improper Hijab” is neither consistent with Islamic principles and values nor with the
culture and traditions of the Afghan people. How do enforcers consider themselves entitled to forcibly detain and transport women in public when they are not even their mahram (stranger/legal guardian)?

This comes amid credible and well-documented reports of violence, sexual abuse and r**e in Taliban prisons, as well as forced marriages involving Taliban members - cases that have never been transparently investigated nor those responsible held accountable.

These actions are part of the Taliban’s systematic policy of excluding women from society, depriving them of their fundamental freedoms, and undermining their human dignity. Arresting women because of their appearance or choice of clothing is not about protecting religion or values; it is a tool of repression, intimidation, and the spread of fear throughout society.

We strongly condemn these inhumane, unlawful, and un-Islamic practices.

The UN General Assembly today elected the President and Vice-Presidents of its 81st session, along with the Bureau members of the Main Committees.

Afghanistan 🇦🇫 warmly congratulates Bangladesh 🇧🇩 and H.E. Mr. Khalilur Rahman on his election as President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Afghanistan is pleased to have been elected as one of the Vice-Presidents and looks forward to working closely with the President-elect and all Member States in support of a successful and productive session.



مجمع عمومی سازمان ملل متحد امروز رئیس، معاونان رئیس هشتاد و یکمین نشست مجمع عمومی و اعضای هیئت‌رئیسه کمیته‌های اصلی را انتخاب کرد.

افغانستان انتخاب کشور بنگلادش و جناب داکتر خلیل‌الرحمن را به‌عنوان رئیس هشتاد و یکمین نشست مجمع عمومی سازمان ملل متحد تبریک گفته و برای ایشان آرزوی موفقیت می‌نماید. افغانستان خرسند است که به‌عنوان یکی از معاونان رئیس این نشست برگزیده شده و امیدوار است در همکاری نزدیک با رئیس منتخب و سایر دولت‌های عضو، در جهت پیشبرد اهداف و مسئولیت‌های مجمع عمومی در این دوره مهم سهم موثر ایفا نماید.
