JCCA Youth Development

JCCA Youth Development The Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) is committed to ensuring that youth acquire the skills and support to be self-sufficient and independent adults.

The Youth Development Team serves youth between the ages of 14-21 placed in JCCA’s foster home and residential programs. We are guided by six Preparing Youth for Adulthood (PYA) goals. (1) Youth will have permanent connections with caring adults,
(2) Youth will reside in stable living conditions
(3) Youth will be afforded opportunities to advance their education and personal development
(4) Yout

h will be encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their work and life decisions, and their positive decisions are reinforced
(5) Young people’s individuals needs will be met and
(6) Youth will have ongoing support after they age out of foster care. The Youth Development team partners with our youth, providing resources to assist youth in developing the skills they will need to live independently, while successfully integrating into larger society.
