💻MEMBER Q&A: Get to know Mike Bloomfield of Tekie Geek!

1. What inspired the creation of Tekie Geek, and how has the company’s mission evolved since then?

I started Tekie Geek because I wanted to work for myself, eliminate a nearly two hour commute each way, and bring enterprise class IT services to small and midsize businesses that often did not have access to that level of support. What began as one guy working from a home office has grown into a team of Geekvenger IT Superheroes in our two floor Eltingville office, with services that now span cybersecurity, cloud, communications, business continuity and AI.

2. What are some of the biggest technology challenges businesses are facing today, and how does Tekie Geek help them navigate those challenges?

Businesses know they need to embrace AI, but many are unsure where to start, which tools to trust, or how to use them securely. Our AI Enablement offering gives their teams secure access to more than 65 AI models in one controlled environment, giving employees a powerful tool to wield while helping the business maintain security, oversight, and consistency.

3. What is one milestone at Tekie Geek that you are proud of?

In 2025, being named the Top MSP in the Northeast by MSP Titans was a huge milestone for our entire team, and every single Geekvenger at Tekie Geek played a part in earning that recognition. Getting to celebrate the win together in Beverly Hills was just the icing on the cake.

4. What are some ways people can learn more about your business?

You can follow us on social media at TEKIE GEEK | Business Tech, visit us at tekiegeek.com/learnmore, or come say hello when you see the Geeks out in the community. We are always out at networking events, workshops, and local initiatives throughout Staten Island and the NY/NJ area.
